Mascletà calendar
From 1 to 19 March 2027, every day at 2 pm
on Plaza del Ayuntamiento.
What is a mascletà?
The mascletà is a daytime fireworks show typical of the Fallas in València. What matters is not the colours but the sound: the rhythm, power and vibration of the firecrackers, which you can feel in your chest. It builds up in intensity and ends with the “terremoto” (earthquake), the most powerful finale. During Fallas it is fired every day at 2:00 pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, from 1 to 19 March.
Tips for enjoying the mascletà
- The square fills up well in advance: if you watch from street level, arrive early.
- The noise is very intense: bring ear protection for children.
- There are traffic closures in the centre during the mascletàs: the easiest way is to walk or use public transport.
- Times may change for safety or weather reasons: always check the official Fallas programme.
- From a private balcony you can see and hear everything in comfort, without crowds or queues.
Watch the mascletà from a Hotel Venecia balcony
Hotel Venecia Plaza Centro is right on Plaza del Ayuntamiento, 3. From 1 to 12 March you can book online a private balcony over the square (part of a hotel room) to watch the 2:00 pm mascletà: access from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, up to 4 guests, private bathroom and Snack Pack included.
